The basic generator is also exposed over HTTP: handy for embedding a QR code directly in an email, a page or a script, with no JavaScript. Open CORS, no key, cached response.

Note: the API returns a "simple" QR (solid colors, square modules). Advanced styles — shapes, gradients, logo, frame — are available only in the generator above, in the browser.

Is the QR code generator free?

Do the generated QR codes expire?

No. A static QR code encodes the information directly: it never expires and keeps working indefinitely, with no online service or subscription required.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. The QR code is computed directly in your browser: no data (URL, Wi-Fi password, contact…) is sent to a server. It is faster and respects your privacy.

Can I add a logo and custom colors?

Yes. You can change the module shape, apply a gradient, import a center logo and add a frame with a call-to-action ("SCAN ME"). Use error-correction level H with a logo to stay scannable.

Which formats can I download?

PNG (raster image, ideal for the web and standard printing) and SVG (vector, lossless at any size — perfect for large-format printing).

What QR code size should I use for printing?

For print, prefer SVG (vector, crisp at any size) or a PNG of at least 1000 px. Rule of thumb: the QR width should be at least 1/10th of the scanning distance (a 2 cm QR scans at ~20 cm).
